On June 13th, 2015, Sensei Miller was inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts “Hall of Fame” in the category of “Shotokan Master of the Year”.

Salina karate students take love of martial arts international
Fourteen-year-old Mariah Garman-Brown enjoyed watching karate movies when she was younger and fancied herself as a ninja warrior, jumping off walls and performing other killer moves.

Michael Rathbun, 30, was similarly inspired. Both signed up for martial arts lessons, he about 12 years ago; she while still in elementary school.

Today, they’ve acquired the skills to compete on the international level and will be entered in the World Karate and Kickboxing Championships this October in Dublin, Ireland. Continue reading

Sensei MillerMariah Brown took three national titles at WKC in Detroit. (Kata, weapons, and point/speed fighting) She is now a member of Team USA at the age of 14. She continues to work hard and is scheduled to go to Dublin, Ireland to compete for the world title. Give her words of encouragement… she has earned it. Congratulations to Mike Rathbun for winning Gold (Sparring) and a Bronze (Kata) Medals at the US National Karate and Kickboxing Championship in Detroit, Michigan. He will be traveling to Ireland to represent the USA this fall.
